Due
to the expansion of low cost airlines, and the introduction of the
Sea Star Catamaran, more people are travelling independently to
Tilos. In previous seasons up to 2006,many travellers preferred
to book flights on Wednesdays and Sundays, which tended to mirror
the inbound and outbound journey of the major package tour operators
serving Tilos, Halki and Symi.
Following
the shock announcement that Laskarina have listed for voluntary
liquidation after Oct 25th 2006, this coming season will prove to
be a testing time for all concerned who wish to visit Tilos. On
a positive note, Thomascook, Monarch, First Choice and Excel are
already offering Wednesday morning flights for 2008 season from
Gatwick and Manchester at excellent prices. We are now actively seeking
to secure bookings for clients for their preferred accommodation
in 2008.Once you have secured your flights, Tilos Travel will assist
you in making your journey as smooth as possible. This site will
be updated regularly to inform visitors of the latest news. Part
of our service includes a 24 hour call line should you encounter
any problems on your inbound / outbound journey.
For
those visitors who have relied on the excellent services of Laskarina
over the years, please don't despair !!! Making your own way to
Tilos is really quite straightforward. We have had many years experience
in advising independent travellers, and with the undoubted increase
in this type of travel in 2008, flights, ferry crossings, and your
choice of accommodation are without doubt going to be more flexible
and available.

Tilos
Travel Icarus Flight Service
Following
the significant changes to the Ferry schedules over the last few
seasons, visitors to Tilos have started to book flights direct to
Rhodes rather than Kos. In the main this is due to the introduction
of the Tilos Sea Star, and the reduction of the sailing's around
the Greek Islands using the large ferries. Flights to other Islands
are still possible, but ferry connections are currently limited.
One
- Way Flights
Should
you wish to be more flexible with your stay on Tilos, we also offer
one way charter flights back to the UK and Scandinavia from Rhodes.
This way your flight to Rhodes one- way could be significantly cheaper,
and allows you to stay on Tilos outside the normal 7 or 14 day visit.
A list of flight only web sites links are shown at the bottom of
this page.
New
for 2008. Scheduled Flights to Rhodes.
British
Airways are now offering a scheduled flight service from Gatwick
to Rhodes operated by GB Airways. One way or return flights
are available at very competitive prices, with all the usual comforts
of a scheduled flight. Please follow the BA link below to book flights.
Ferry
Schedules.
With
the exception of the Sea Star Catamaran,It is our policy not to
advertise ferry company schedules at this stage, as experience shows
us that they are generally misleading, often out of date and as
is the Greek way, subject to change !!
However, once your flights are secured, we will be delighted to
advise you at all stages of your journey. Our knowledge of the transit
stages has on many occasions resulted in our staff getting our clients
to Tilos more quickly than package tour operators. In essence, this
flexibility gives you more time on Tilos !
